STEPPED POROSITY explores co-working spaces that have visual porosity on a site parallel to the LA river.
It is a CLT Structure that welcomes the public from under the North Spring street bridge and the west part of the
structure enjoys views of the passing trains and the LA river. Stepped platforms that create a variety of volumes make the co-working space playful. The two triangular atriums in the center provide natural light and are surrounded by a ramp that makes it possible for all kinds of users to enjoy and access the various volumes. The green space on the south reduces heat gain during the summers. The visually porous structure makes it welcoming to not only the users but the surrounding community.
